Building a Bridge

So we started a community outreach project last year it was to provide a walk bridge over the city drainage ditch for the children on our side of town that had to walk to school. We wanted to make it match the rustic look of our community since we are a small farming/ranching community we picked a limestone look. Well we got half finished and other things distracted us from getting done plus it is seasonal work, but when a master commission group out of Oklahoma City came for revival and said they wanted to help do something that was the opportunity for free labor to help get it done. Though we ran in to supply problems with our concrete we still managed to get quite a bit accomplished. Here are some of the pics.

Trouble in Paradise

My golf cart has started cutting out. If you hit the gas to hard it starts cutting in and out. I thought it may have been a problem where the axle meets the rim, there were some grooves that rusted up and we fixed it with J.B. weld. Hey its a farm and it worked. However Dad thinks the problem is in the capacitor. The golf cart is electric. Anyway I will get some updated pics and put them on for my golf cart modification buddies. :)

My Golf Cart is Almost Done (for now)

My Dad and I, but mostly him, have been modifying my golf cart. We cut off the back down to the frame and put on a utility bed. This way I can haul my push mower and tools around town in it. We also built a box into the bed that will be able to be locked up so my nicer tools don't walk off. We still have to put a hitch of some sort on it as I want to pull a mower trailer some times with it, but the hardest part is done and I think it turned out WAY COOL.

Snowy Day

We had a awesome snow day this last week. Talk about sunny and warm one day and literally the next you have three inches of snow on the ground. It was way cool and I loved it. I could have done without the multiple inches of rain we had before the snow though. But I took some cool pics, I even caught a bird in one hiding out from the snow.
