A little Sun

So I have been out for the last two days helping people. I love getting out of the office being outside is my preference. First I got to go help the mayor as he was cleaning up some of his property, isn't spring cleaning fun, he had tried to start a recycling program in Welch but that didn't work out and he was left with a mess from last fall. Then I got to go help with some roofing, I do a lot of roofing for some reason but I enjoy it in some sick sorta way and so I helped out some friends do a little roofing job for the day which they finished up after I went home. That is also a benefit of volunteering you can leave when you want. :) So I spent two days in the sun and I am getting rid of the pasty white look of winter. Long live SPRING

Fire

So I burnt the churches field off yesterday. I love fire it is a MAN thing, all men love fire. I burnt the field off because it was no good to us with all the grown up grass on it. We needed the field cleared to do anything with it. We want to plow it and plant garden sites for others who do not have the room to rent. A help to the community and covering the cost for us, but we could not do that with the field overgrown. This reminded me of when the bible talks about our work being tried by fire (1 Cor 3:13). There are times in my life when I feel like God tried my works with fire and my life burnt down around me. However, when our foundation is Christ it will remain for us to build upon again. Since I have built back I have kept in mind that what I build must stand the fire it will be tried with and although it was hard to lose what I had I now know that God had to clear away the "wood, hay or straw" that I had allowed to grow up so I could build something worth really having.
